As you already know, Malaysia is one of the most important countries in the world in terms of semiconductor chip production logistics, with companies such as Intel, AMD, Micron and others using the services of local companies and workers for the packaging and testing of these important components.
During the presentation of Budget 2025, Finance Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that to further develop the local semiconductor sector, Khazanah Nasional Berhad will provide RM1.0 billion to spearhead investments that support the development of the local semiconductor industry.
The Pension Fund will also provide RM500 million next year to develop technology sectors that are in growing demand, including data centers, energy transition and advanced manufacturing.
