During today's Budget 2025, the Prime Minister announced that local vehicle manufacturer Perodua will present its own electric car, and it will be offered at a price of RM100,000. This will at once make it one of the most affordable electric vehicles on the market, leading to more people switching to electric cars.
Further information regarding the Perodua electric car is not yet known, and may be shared in the coming months.
Besides Perodua, for this year, Proton will launch their first electric car, the Proton e.MAS7. The car has already been shown, and information about the vehicle has been announced little by little. The sales price and so on are expected to be shared at the end of this year – and through the announcement of the 2025 Budget, we can confirm the Proton e.MAS7 will cost more than RM100k.
