Budget 2025: UiTM Gets RM20 Million Allocation To Empower E&E Industry



In the presentation of Budget 2025, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) also received an allocation of RM20 million for the implementation of a special initiative to produce more engineers and scientists in the Electricity and Electronics (E&E) sector. It is considered to be a priority especially in ensuring that Bumiputera are not left behind in semiconductors and E&E exports. In addition to helping further develop the semiconductor industry which is now a strategic resource for the country.




In the same development, an allocation of RM50 million to expand education related to artificial intelligence (AI) to all educational universities was also given. It can be said to be an increase compared to RM20 million last year. Among the public universities that have been catalysts for artificial intelligence (AI) so far are Universiti Malaya, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
