CelcomDigi Releases Statement About Digi Network Upgrade This October 14-15





CelcomDigi today issued a statement regarding the network upgrade for Digi telecommunication services that will take place on 14 and 15 October 2024 at 9pm until 9am the following day for the whole of Malaysia.


According to the company, call services, messaging and internet connection will not be affected by this upgrade process, but confirms that for a number of other services, such as access to applications, websites and physical services such as Digi kiosks and physical stores will not be accessible within the time frame the said.


Other services that will be disrupted include new user registration, plan change, in-app payments and purchases using DigiPay, subscription and activation of roaming passes and payments to Digi services through other payment platforms such as online banking, CelcomDigi website, kiosks, Pos Malaysia and also counters such as 7-Eleven, 99 Speedmart and KK Mart.


For roaming services, CelcomDigi says for those who are going abroad on the dates of October 14-15 to buy a roaming pass in advance, or to do it earlier on the day, before 6 pm on October 14, 2024, or after 9 am on the 15 October 2024.


The network switching service will also be temporarily stopped at 12.01am on 13 October 2024 to 11.59pm on 15 October 2024. For broadband internet services, CelcomDigi advises users not to turn on their WiFi routers again between 9pm and 9am on 14 and 15 October.
