Epic Games Files Lawsuit Against Samsung

Epic Games previously prepared to file a lawsuit against Google, saying the internet giant is monopolizing and not opening up to competition. That's not all, now Epic Games also filed a lawsuit against Samsung, saying both parties are united in protecting their respective app stores and not opening up to outside competitors.

Epic says the Auto Blocker feature on Samsung devices prevents users from installing alternative apps on the device, other than the Google Play Store or Samsung Galaxy Store. For information, the feature is included to prevent users from installing APK files from unknown sources – which are usually malware-type applications, and harm users.

However, for Epic this is said to reduce the choice for users, in addition to hindering competition. Samsung says it will fight Epic Games' lawsuit.
