Samsung has further expanded its range of processing chips through the Exynos 1580. It is built with Samsung's third-generation 4nm EUV FinFET technology. In addition, performance is improved while optimizing the power consumption of the device. The Exynos 1580 is also equipped with enhanced CPU, GPU and NPU capabilities aimed at multi-tasking processes and better AI functions.
Continuing by sharing technically this processor is equipped with a configuration of 1 X Cortex-A720 (2.9 GHz), 3 X Cortex-A720 at 2.6 GHz, 4 X Cortex-A520 (1.95 GHz) as well as the Xclipse 540 GPU. With this the Exynos 1580 offers increased capabilities performance up to 37% and power efficiency up to 20% and NPU jumps up to 14.7 TOPS (trillion operations per second).
Taking advantage of AMD's RDNA 3 architecture, the Xclipse 540 GPU can double the processing power by combining two Work Group Processors. It is also improved with GL2 cache which is able to offer better graphics effects. Emphasis is also placed on artificial intelligence capabilities that can perform complex tasks such as real-time image translation and content summarization with better accuracy.
The Exynos 1580 chip supports LPDDR5-based RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. In addition to also offering FHD+ @144 Hz resolution screen capabilities and up to 200MP camera system with video recording capability at 4K60FPS. The presence of an additional AI Engine aims for better photo and video quality with more prominent colors and details.
