Google Announces Watershed Conservation Project in Taman Aman Lake, Petaling Jaya



Google today shared several initiatives focusing on the Malaysian market, and one of them is a project focusing on the sustainability of the water catchment in Taman Aman Lake, Petaling Jaya. For this purpose, Google is collaborating with the Global Environment Center (GEC) and also the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ).



This project aims to improve the water quality in the lake, in addition to increasing the value of biodiversity and also the value of leisure for the local community in the lake.


Google also said they will also use water efficiently in their various operations, in addition to replacing 120% of the volume of water used by 2030.


We may hear more about this project by Google in the near future. Google shared their plans to preserve this watershed in parallel with the start of Google's data center development in Malaysia today.
