GoPay is a financial application in Indonesia under the company GoTo (a combination of Gojek and Tokopedia) which is a digital wallet that makes it easier for Indonesians to use daily financial technology more easily.
As a digital financial application, GoPay was launched last year and so far, it says that it has been downloaded 30 million times in Indonesia.
Although this application comes with a small download size, it can be used in many ways, such as the ability to send and receive money from any local bank, easy purchase and payment of mobile data and the ability to issue reports on the use of money. easy to understand.
Today, at the Google Let's Talk AI Asia Pacific event, the company introduced several updates to the app, the main one being the Dira digital assistant powered by GoTo AI.
The uniqueness of Dira in the context of the GoPay application is that it allows Indonesian users to access various features of the application quickly and easily by using voice commands only. Dira also understands both English and Indonesian, using AI Gemini 1.5 Flash technology as a language layer and also understanding the context of instructions in that language.
In addition, the use of GoTo AI developed by using Vertex AI, and this allows GoPay to introduce features such as automatic bill separation using cameras and AI, various types of payments through applications and sending and receiving money.
For now, it seems that the GoPay application is only offered to Indonesians first, because they want to make sure that specifically, the people of that country who do not use traditional banking services can use their application well first.
Perhaps in the future, GoPay will be offered to Indonesians working abroad, and this will directly facilitate them to transfer money from bank accounts to the application, and family members in their hometowns.
