Along with the introduction of the new HarmonyOS operating system which is independent of Android, now Huawei also shared that the operating system developed by them now powers more than 1 billion devices worldwide.
HarmonyOS is not only used on smartphones, but also on tablets, vehicle information systems, smart televisions, watches, and various other devices. This at the same time makes HarmonyOS friendly to use on different types and sizes of devices.
Today, over 10,000 apps are offered for the Harmony operating system, and with Huawei moving independent from Android, we may see more native apps developed for the operating system.
Previously, Huawei had started the development of the operating system independently after being imposed trade barriers by the United States which had an impact on their business. Since then, Huawei is seen taking steps to reduce dependence on western technology, and at the same time started developing their own operating system, Harmony OS.
