MAX is ready to announce that they will officially launch their offer on 19 November 2024 for Malaysian users. In parallel, HBO Go has now started sending emails to existing customers, sharing more about the changes.
Max will continue to offer content from the HBO franchise, Harry Potter, DC Universe, Cartoon Network, Warner Bros., Discovery and more. Starting November 19, existing HBO Go users can download the Max application via the App Store and Play Store, as well as log in using their existing HBO Go account.
At the same time, it is also emphasized that for the time being, there is no change in the subscription price if you subscribe directly via the HBO Go web or the HBO Go app before. However, if you subscribe through a telecommunication service provider and others, the matter needs to be checked with the provider.
However, it is not known what plan HBO Go subscribers will enjoy at the existing subscription price. Max will be offered in two options – the Standard at 1080p resolution and supports streaming on two devices simultaneously, while the Ultimate offers 4K resolution, and can be streamed on 4 devices simultaneously. In addition, some service providers will also offer Max Mobile plans that offer streaming on one device (phone or tablet), at 720p resolution.
The subscription price for Max is expected to be shared soon. Today, for HBO Go, it is offered at a subscription price of RM34.90 per month or RM69.90 for three months.
