Next week, Apple will finally distribute the iOS 18.1 update to iPhone users. iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and all iPhone 16 users will receive Apple Intelligence support through this update. For those who don't know, to access Apple Intelligence there is a waiting list just like when testing the beta version. In this article I will share how to skip this waiting list.
In beta testing, due to the smaller number of users of the trial version compared to the stable version – it is expected that the stable Apple Intelligence will have a longer waiting list. Today, iOS 18.1 RC has been distributed which is the last version to beta users which is said to be the same version as the stable version that will be distributed next week. So, register Apple Intelligence from this version.
First, open your iOS settings and go to the General section and select Software Update. Then in Beta Update select iOS 18 Public Beta. Wait for a while for it to load and you can directly start downloading and installing iOS 18.1 RC with a size of 6.98 GB for iPhone 16. After it's done, go back to settings and select Apple Intelligence & Siri. Make sure the language is English (United States) and wait again. According to the number of users, as far as the three Apple devices I tested all received access to Apple Intelligence after 5-10 minutes.
After finishing DO NOT FORGET to go back to receiving stable updates, because otherwise you will receive Public Beta updates which are full of bugs. Go back to General in settings, and in Software Update select Inactive.
That's it and you'll receive access to Apple Intelligence sooner rather than waiting for the stable update that will be distributed next week. This iOS 18.1 RC is generally stable and has the same usage performance as the regular version. The same method can also be used on iPads with an Apple M chip for the iPadOS 18.1 update.
