It is not surprising that Intel will launch their premium processing chip first which comes with the letter 'K' behind it which indicates that it is a processing chip that can be overclocked.
Intel has also introduced the Intel XTU or Xtreme Tuning Utility software that simplifies the process of modifying the chip speed and overclocking the CPU without having to enter the BIOS menu to make these changes.
It has been introduced for several generations of processing chips, and typically this software will be updated every time a new series of processing chips is introduced. However, for the latest iteration of this XTU software, which is named Intel XTU 10, Intel has also confirmed that this software can only be used with Intel Core Ultra 200S processing chips.
This is because the latest Arrow Lake S processing chip comes with many new features such as dual base clock and a variety of cores and tiles that can also be modified for performance.
For users of generation 14 processing chips (Raptor Lake Refresh) and below, they can still use Intel XTU software version 7.14.2.14 which is also still supported for these processing chips.
If you don't really care about things like overclocking and CPU voltage modification, this feature is not mandatory for you to download and use.
