Months after Kaspersky Labs, the Russian PC security software company was forced to close their business in the United States, it has been reported that they will start closing their business in the United Kingdom as well.
This was reported by TechCrunch, which confirmed that the company's team, which currently has less than 50 employees, will be phased out, culminating in the company's London office being closed.
In contrast to what happened in the United States, Kaspersky Labs individual and corporate customers can still use their security software, but any inquiries and software purchases will be made through the Kaspersky Labs team operating in Europe.
Kaspersky Labs says that this is done to streamline their business in the region. For new and existing users, this will not change anything in terms of support and customer service.
So far it is not known yet when Kaspersky Labs will close their UK services completely, but our expectation is that it will happen soon.
