We have recently reported on rumors that AMD will introduce three models of processing chips in the Ryzen Z series, including AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme, AMD Ryzen Z2 and AMD Ryzen Z2G, which on average will come with the same or better performance compared to AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme.
Recently, there are new rumors that Lenovo is also expected to introduce three models of the Lenovo Legion Go console soon, including the Lenovo Legion Go S, which seems to be the model name for the Lenovo Legion Go "Lite" console that we have also reported before this.
These three models will use the three AMD Ryzen Z2 CPUs shown, and judging by the model names of the consoles shown, include:
Lenovo Legion Go (8ASP2)
Lenovo Legion Go (8AHP2)
Lenovo Legion Go S (8ARP1)
If you look at the model names, SP, HP and RP seem to indicate the model of the processing chip that will be used, namely Strix Point, Hawk Point and also Rembrandt, which are all code names for AMD CPUs.
And as shown before, the Lenovo Legion Go S will come with a different design where the console no longer has a control device that can be detached from the display. At the moment there is no more certainty given about the other two models, which will probably retain the original design.
AMD is expected to introduce the Ryzen Z2 series of processing chips during the CES 2025 event, and Lenovo may also follow with the announcement of the new Legion Go after that.
