Are you an honest employee with the employer? If there is no news today, it may be used as a warning in parallel with Friday as the ruler of all days. According to the Financial Times, Meta has fired 25 staff who were found to have misappropriated their daily meal allowances.
Meta employees are given an allowance of $20 for breakfast, $25 for lunch and another $25 for dinner each day. But the dismissed staff were found to have misappropriated the funds received to buy items for home use such as glasses and facial cleansers. Using credit to buy food while at home is also not allowed because it is specifically for office use.
These 25 former staff members were found to be misguiding their meal allowances regularly. Other staff who do not do it regularly are simply given a warning by management. Mark Zuckerberg says tens of thousands of Meta employees need to be fired to make the company more efficient. Who would have thought that just because of misappropriation of the meal allowance, the livelihood in Meta continues to be lost.
