X this week made some changes to their policies, including how they control the blocking feature on the service. This thing is seen to make many people who do not like it, at the same time taking steps to switch to other platforms.
Platforms that many go to instead are Bluesky and also Threads. In Malaysia itself, through listings on the App Store, Bluesky ranks 8th, while Threads ranks first. While on the Google Play Store, Threads still maintains the first rank, while Bluesky is on the 17th rank.
While Meta did not share the development of user numbers on Threads, Bluesky recently shared that 500,000 users registered on their service within a day since the change to the "Block" button was made by X.
If you look at the ranking of social applications, X does not occupy the top ten on the App Store, and occupies the 7th position on the Google Play Store.
