Leica further expands the range of cameras under the Q series with the new Q3 43 model. It is designed specifically for those looking for a camera with a focal length capability similar to the natural vision of the human eye. Then make it suitable for street and portrait photography.
This camera uses a BIS (60MP / 36MP / 18MP) CMOS sensor paired with a specially developed APO-Summicron 43mm f/2 ASPH lens. The sensor also supports a standard ISO range between 50 – 100.00 which promises clear images that can be taken even in dim lighting. In addition to being able to record videos up to 8K with various formats including .h265 and ProRes.
With a standard focal length of 43mm, users can get images that are free of distortion and close to what the human eye wants to see. There are also a number of other focal length options between 60 to 150mm available in an effort to give flexibility to users to switch photography styles smoothly - whether portrait images, landscapes and others. Leica further equips the camera with a built-in macro mode for close-up image capture.
The experience becomes even better with the help of an AI-based hybrid autofocus system that can ensure the subject is well detected. On the back panel there is a 3-inch tiltable TFT LCD screen and a 5.67MP OLED display. In addition, the camera is also equipped with USB-C and HDMI ports, while also passing the IP52 waterproof rating. The Leica Q3 43 is listed in Malaysia at a price of RM34,990.
