After almost three years, Microsoft finally launched the new Xbox Wireless Headset yesterday. It's given upgrades for internal aspects that include better battery life, microphones and connectivity. Dolby Atmos support is also available on this new model for a better audio offering, as well as working with Windows Sonic and Headphone X.
Windows Sonic is a spatial sound solution available on Windows computers. Meanwhile, DTS Headphone:X is a 3D audio solution that is also on Windows computers, but requires an application to be downloaded first from the Microsoft Store. This Xbox Wireless Headset is also equipped with a Qualcomm S5 Gen 2 chip for a deeper audio experience.
It is also still equipped with a volume adjustment button on the ear cup that allows the user to control the audio from the game and the audio from the chat application. A built-in microphone is also upgraded with automatic muting and voice isolation functions. This is to minimize the background noise in the video, further improving the audio quality to be clearer.
Fast tethering via bluetooth 5.3 for a more stable connection between devices. The included battery can now last for 20 hours longer than the original model's 15 hours. The sale price is $109.99 (~RM477).
