Last month, when Nothing Ear (open) was launched – Nothing OS 3.0 was also announced. The new operating system will use a brand new interface design, more interactive widget support, as well as deeper integration of generative AI. Recently, the beta version and stable version date were announced.
Specifically for Nothing Phone (2a), Nothing OS 3.90 with Android 15 is ready to be tested. Among the new features introduced are dynamic widgets on the lock screen, widget support that can be shared and allowing users to give emoji reactions. Then, the settings control panel is now similar to the Control Center on iOS 18 which looks neater. Most similar to iOS is the application platform which is now similar to the App Library but is smarter because it is powered by AI that will organize applications by category and suggest to users based on usage.
For Phone (2) the beta version will arrive in November, then for Phone (1), Phone (2a) Plus and CMF Phone 1 it will be in December. If you don't dare to test the beta version, Nothing OS 3.0 stable version will arrive this December for Phone (2) and Phone (2a).
