As promised, Samsung is seen unveiling new Galaxy devices today. It is known as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition with a number of interesting features compared to the original model given this time.
For example, the body is thinner with a thickness of 10.6mm and weighs about 236 grams. The inner screen is also upgraded which is now 8-inches with a 20:18 aspect ratio, while the outer screen is 6.5-inches with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It makes it the widest screen size Samsung has ever produced for a device in the Galaxy Fold Z series to date.
For the first time, a large 200MP camera is also used in the Galaxy Z Fold series, which is also equipped with OIS for a better experience. This is paired with a 12MP ultra-wide camera (autofocus) and a 10MP telephoto up to 3X optical. On the inner screen there is a 4MP selfie camera under the screen and the outer screen houses a 10MP selfie camera in a small hole. The main camera also supports 8K 30fps video recording.
Another key feature that is still retained is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip that powers the device. In addition, it offers a memory option of 16GB RAM, 512GB internal storage and the latest software One UI 6.1 based on Androd 14 with AI. The included 4,400mAh battery can be charged via 25W charging and 15W wireless. Samsung further equips the device with a side fingerprint scanner, e-SIM, 5G network, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and UWB. The selling price is KRW 2,789,600 (~RM8,759).
For everyone's information, Galaxy Z Fold6 is also officially available in Malaysia. The selling price is starting at RM7,299 (256GB), RM7,899 (512GB) and RM9,099 (1TB) through all authorized Samsung dealers throughout Malaysia.
