Oppo has announced the new Find X8 series flagship phone in China. It offers a match of the latest specifications along with a design with a class of its own. Especially for the Find X8 model which is seen to be able to meet the needs of users who like compact minimalist devices. Here are the full specifications of both devices.
Oppo Find X8 is equipped with a 6.59-inch OLED LTPO flat screen with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 4500nits. This is paired with a Mediatek Dimensity 9400 chip, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 internal storage. In addition to also running the ColorOS 15 software based on Android 15 with an emphasis on several things including neater icons, improved system performance and the sophistication of AI technology.
The Find X8 has a tri-sensor of 50MP for main (Sony LYT-700), 15mm ultra-wide (ISOCELL JN5) and telephoto (IMX882) up to 3X optical zoom/120X digital. It also uses a Hasselblad camera system with built-in OIS. Meanwhile, the selfie camera is 32MP with a Sony IMX615 sensor. Other features that can be found are a 5630mAh battery, 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, an on-screen fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers (Dolby Atmos) and IP68/IP69 waterproofing.
The Oppo Find X8 Pro uses a 6.78-inch curved 1.5K BOE AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4500nits. This is matched with OPPO Crystal Shield protective glass on the front and back. The Mediatek Dimensity 9400 chip is also used as the main support with memory up to 16GB RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 internal storage. The latest ColorOS 15 software is based on Android 15 with an emphasis on neater icons, improved system performance and advanced AI technology.
Interestingly, the Pro model also offers a special camera button called "Quick Button". It can be used to activate the camera application with just a double tap. In addition to also working to change the aperture opening and zoom control with it can detect touch. Followed by another Alert Slider button that was previously used on the Find N3 series.
The main camera system is equipped with a 50MP quad-sensor with ultra-wide-angle (15mm), wide-angle (23mm), portrait (Hasselblad), telephoto periscope (135 mm) capabilities up to 6X optical/ 120X digital zoom. The battery is 5910mAh which can be charged through 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. Other specifications include an in-screen fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers (Dolby Atmos), infrared and IP68/IP69 waterproofing.
The sales price in China starts at RMB 4199 (~RM2,563) (12/256GB) for the Find X8 and starts at RMB 5299 (~RM3,234) (12/256GB) for the Find X8 Pro. These devices are also confirmed to be expanded to the global market and can be considered interesting considering that the last time Oppo offered the Find X series globally was in 2022 through the Find X5 series.
