Parallels Support For Windows Apps Running On ChromeOS Is Ending

A few years ago, Google partnered with Parallels for Windows apps to run on ChromeOS. After two years, updates to Parallels are no longer visible and Google has also taken over Cameyo for Windows emulators running on ChromeOS. Most recently, Parallels support is said to be ending soon.

Parallels allows many Windows applications to run natively on ChromeOS. But after an update in 2022 to allow it to be supported on low-spec ChromeOS devices, no more updates, new features and functions were introduced. This may be due to the inconsistent performance of Parallels in contrast to Cameyo which can run the entire Windows operating system in staging mode.

According to Chrome Unboxed, Parallels support will end this year and will no longer continue next year. At the time of writing, the Google and Parallels customer service websites did not have any further information. Let's wait together.
