PCIe 3.0 SSD Storage Kit For Raspberry Pi 5 Introduced With 256GB And 512GB Options

If you're a fan of the Raspberry Pi midget computer, and already own a Raspberry Pi 5 computer, or plan to buy one, they've recently introduced a PCIe 3.0 storage kit for it that can be installed to dramatically increase the amount of storage on the computer.

Raspberry Pi now sells an M.2 HAT+ storage kit that adds support for an M.2 2230 SSD connection on top of this midget computer. In terms of storage options, they offer 256GB and 512GB storage in their online stores.

Raspberry Pi says that with their latest midget computer offerings, which now feature support for the PCI Express plug, many companies have released a variety of new accessories to install on their computers.

And for the company itself, they found that offering SSD fast storage connection accessories is a product that is very much wanted by the users of these dwarf computers. And because of that, Raspberry Pi-branded SSDs and PCI Express card accessories for this storage were introduced.

These accessories also don't seem to be that expensive. The 256GB and 512GB SSD storage is offered at $30 and $40, while the M.2 Hat+ kit with storage is shown at $40 with 256GB storage and $55 with 512GB storage.

For now, the 256GB storage option has already begun to be offered through the official Raspberry Pi website, while the 512GB storage option is expected to arrive this November.
