Roblox Is Allegedly Cheating On The Actual Number Of Players And Ignoring The Safety Of Underage Players

Roblox allegedly deceived investors about the number of players and also the time spent by them. In a report published by research firm Hindenburg Research, Roblox allegedly cheated the number of players between 25-43% compared to the actual number while playing time was increased up to 100% compared to the actual situation.

Among what Roblox claims to do is not count multiple accounts owned by an individual as a single account. Roblox is also claimed to be able to track owners with more than one account but refuses to distinguish between the actual number of players.

More worrying for parents and guardians is that Roblox is also said to ignore the safety of child players on the platform in order to drive the development of the number of users. Although 21% of Roblox players are minors, the restriction of age-inappropriate content is not taken seriously.

As a result, adult predators can still send sexual messages and request indecent photos from underage players. The name of the player is also not screened by the existence of an account using the name of prominent pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. With all the above allegations, Roblox is allegedly trying to please investors and at the same time ensure that the company's stock will not be affected.

Roblox has issued a statement refuting Hindenburg Research's claims. According to them the report issued is misleading and the company always cares about the safety of underage users. Previously, Hindenburg Research had exposed the fraud in Adani Group and Nikola Corporation which caused the main figures of the company to be brought to court.
