Samsung today became the first in the industry to introduce a 24-gigabit GDDR7 DRAM memory chip, making it the first to offer the highest capacity in the industry, including faster speeds for next-generation applications.
With the development of the data center arena and also devices focusing on artificial intelligence, this 24Gb GDDR7 memory is expected to play an important role. This 24Gb GDDR7 chip is developed using a 10-nanometer construction that increases the cell density rate, as well as offering a more efficient energy consumption rate than the previous generation. It also now offers speeds of up to 40Gbps through it.
Samsung announced the use of this memory through its main GPU customers early on, with commercialization expected to occur in early 2025.
