We've been hearing for a while that Samsung might come up with an affordable Galaxy Z Fold phone. However, until today it is still not visible and the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition that has been launched is a more premium model than the regular Z Fold6. Recently, Samsung has revealed that they have no intention of offering an affordable version of the Galaxy Z Fold.
In Samsung's partnership with SisaJournal writers from South Korea, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 SE is said to be a more premium option that users can choose according to their individual tastes. So far Samsung has no plans to offer other foldable phones at a more affordable price.
Why? Samsung has also shared that most users of the Galaxy Z Fold are users from the old generation and not regular phone users. Although this is a good thing because it receives repeat customers, but it affects Samsung's business which has a hard time expanding foldable phones to wider markets like China. Galaxy Z Fold6 is sold at a price of RM9,099. In Korea, the Galaxy Z Fold6 SE is sold at a price of KRW 2,789,600 which is around RM8,763.
