Samsung Reportedly Dismissing a Number of Employees in Southeast Asia





Samsung Electronics is now reportedly shedding a number of employees in Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, as part of optimization measures and making operations more efficient.


Some workers in Singapore are said to have already been contacted and informed regarding this layoff, in addition to related compensation information. For now, it is not known how many will be affected in this phase.


According to internal sources, it is said to impact less than 10% of Samsung's overall workforce. It is said that among the affected employees is the management. It is not yet known whether workers in Malaysia are also affected or vice versa.
