Samsung Wants to Replace the "Settings" Application in One UI With AI

Although Apple Intelligence is still in beta testing, many uses are seen as more interesting and unique than Galaxy AI on Samsung devices or Gemini on Google devices. Among the ones I like the most is Siri which can change device system settings faster. Most recently, Samsung is reportedly interested in replacing the Settings application with AI.

In an ETNews report, Samsung is said to believe that AI is a good enough assistant to control user devices. It's Samsung's idea for a fully AI-powered device. This AI system can help manage memory and control chip performance, manage notifications, change screen brightness or even customize the main screen.

For now Samsung is reportedly focusing more on AI features for camera and keyboard settings. It may be able to understand the user's wishes and the camera settings or the writing style on the keyboard application can have its own user personality. This feature is still in the early stages of development and it will probably arrive in One UI 7 based on Android 15.
