SoftBank Will Reportedly Invest $500 Million In OpenAI

SoftBank, one of the companies that is very active in investing in various technology companies, is now reported to invest as much as $500 million in the popular artificial intelligence firm, OpenAI. This makes SoftBank's first investment in an OpenAI company.

SoftBank is said to be participating in the latest investment round that sees OpenAI valued at $150 billion. Previously, some big names such as NVIDIA and Microsoft are said to have also invested in this investment round, while Apple has withdrawn.

SoftBank through the investment fund Vision Fund is willing to invest in various leading companies, including ARM, ByteDance, Grab, WeWork, and so on.
