The Block Di X function no longer prevents Ciapana from being read

As promised by X since last May, the Block feature that prevents certain accounts from reading your tweets has now been changed. Accounts blocked by users can now read tweets but they can no longer interact with the tweets sent.

According to X, this is to enable the account owner to report if the content of the comment left violates the site's policy. Action can then be taken if the comments left are extreme. If you want to prevent the tweets from being read by people who have been blocked, the only way is to lock the account to private after this.

A few months ago Elon Musk said he was not fond of the Block feature and said he would remove it. The step taken today is a middle ground that still allows this feature to be used but honestly we say this is another feature given without it being requested by the user.

The changes made also violate the terms and conditions set by the Play Store and the App Store which oblige social media applications to provide a feature to prevent certain users' accounts from being read in order to avoid the problem of online stalkers.
