The Leapmotor C10 Electric SUV Goes On Sale With an Introductory Price of RM149,000



A few weeks ago we showed the first glimpse and guide of the latest electric SUV that will enter the local market, the Leapmotor C10.



Leapmotor is an electric car brand from China, and last year they were one of the three new EV brands in China, and even until July 2024 have sold more than 460,000 electric cars. Now under Stellantis, which is an automotive group that also supports big brands such as Peugeot, Maserati, Citroen, they will be the first brand under this group to offer the first electric car for the local market.



The Leapmotor C10 is an electric SUV that has a size close to the Proton X90, but only has five seats. It is powered by a Qualcomm SA8155P processing chip, driven by a Permanent Magnetic Synchronic electric motor that delivers 160kW of power, (218PS) and 320Nm of torque, has a range of up to 477km and can be charged 30-80% in just 30 minutes using an 84kW DC charger. This combination allows this electric vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 7.5 seconds.



The Leapmotor C10 also comes with a 69.9kWh Lithium-Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery with a self-installed AI Battery Management System (BMS). This AI technology is capable of reducing the problem of lack of battery capacity, extending battery life, as well as ensuring stability and safety for long-term use.



In terms of the inforia system, the Leapmotor C10 is equipped with a 14.6-inch screen powered by Leap OS 4.0 and offers centralized access to the vehicle. The C10 instrument screen display comes with a size of 10.2 inches displaying all important driving information. Parking and passing through narrow passages is assisted with a 360-degree panoramic camera and a view from above.



For driving comfort, Leapmotor C10 also comes with ECO, Comfort, Sport and Custom modes that meet different types of driving needs. For passenger comfort, the front console is equipped with a 15-watt wireless charging pad, one storage compartment, one 12-volt socket, as well as 60 Watt USB Type-C and USB Type-A power plugs. Rear passengers can charge their smart devices using two USB Type-C or Type-A plugs.



Most modern vehicles today come with comprehensive safety features. For the Leapmotor C10, it is equipped with ADAS Level 2 vehicle safety technology that comes with 16 safety features such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Centering Control (LCC), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Door Opening Warning (DOW), Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Rear Collision Warning (RCW), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert And Braking (RCTA + RCTB), Intelligent Speed ​​Assist (ISA), Driver Drowsiness Alert Warning (DDAW) and Advanced Driver Distraction Warning (ADDW).



Stellantis Malaysia says that bookings for the Leapmotor C10 are already open to the public and come with an introductory price of RM149,000 for all bookings made from today until 30 November 2024. If you book this vehicle after that date, the price will increase to RM159,000 .


This new electric SUV is also available in Glazed Green, Pearly White and Canopy Gray or Tundra Grey, as well as two interior colors which are special Criollo Brown for Glazed Green and Midnight Aurora.
