At the Auto Car Expo event today, Proton opened the curtain by announcing two optional versions for their first electric car, the Proton e.MAS7. It will come with a Prime version which is the basic version, and a Premium version for higher specifications.
Although it is offered in two versions, both have the same performance which is a maximum power of 160 kW with a torque of 320 Nm, which gives acceleration from 0-100 km/h as fast as 6.9 seconds and has a maximum speed of 175 km/h.
What differentiates e.MAS7 Prime and Premium versions is in terms of battery capacity and also some equipment. In terms of battery, the Prime version has a battery capacity of 49.25 kW, which gives a travel distance of 345 KM WLTP and supports 80 kW DC charging. The Premium version has a battery capacity of 60.22 kW with a travel distance of 410 KM WLTP and supports DC charging of 100 kW.
For DC charging, both versions can be charged from 30-80% as fast as 20 minutes, while for AC 11kW with charging from 30-80% can be achieved as fast as 4.9 hours for the Prime, and 6.1 hours for the Premium version.
In terms of equipment, the Proton e.MAS7 is loaded with various sophistications such as Swapandu level 2, Vehicle-to-load function, air conditioner with N95 air filter, 15.4-inch 2K inforia display, 10-inch driving cluster display, and many more. Exclusively for the Premium version, it has several additional equipment such as a translucent roof that can be opened, 16 speakers, a HUD display, LED ambient lighting, seats with a ventilation system and also an automatic rear boot.
Proton also announced the price of the Proton e.MAS7 will be sold around RM 120,000 and especially for the first orderers will receive a gift worth RM 1,000 and also a discount of RM 500. This offer starts today until the day of the launch of the first electric car from Proton.
