Air Selangor Sdn. Bhd. (Selangor Air) informed that some areas of the Kuala Lumpur region experienced unscheduled water disruptions starting at 6 am on Tuesday until 9 October 2024 (Wednesday). The cause of this incident is due to the implementation of emergency work to repair a broken pipe at Pasar Seni Hub, Kuala Lumpur. A total of 29 areas around the capital are involved as listed in the image below.
According to Air Selangor, water supply is expected to be fully restored tomorrow at 1pm, 9 October after the main supply distribution system is restored. The time period for water supply restoration however varies depending on the distance of the affected areas and the water pressure on the water supply distribution system. Alternative assistance through water tank lorries is also provided by giving priority to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers and funeral ceremonies during the period of disruption.
