Mediatek has launched a new flagship processing chip Dimensity 9400. It replaces Dimensity 9300 as the most powerful chip Mediatek offers for use in Android devices. Apple also did not miss out from offering the A18 Pro used on the latest iPhone 16 line. These processing chips are built using TSMC's 3nm technology with each having distinct advantages depending on user needs.
Recently, there has been a debate among many parties when this new Mediatek chip is said to be able to outperform both of Apple's new chips. That certainly attracted our attention to see for ourselves the performance comparison between the processing chips.

Conclusion
The results of the processor chip benchmark test show the tendency of fierce competition with each having its own strengths and weaknesses. Looking at the first benchmark test, Geekbench 6, the Apple A18 Pro leads with a score of 3359/8129, followed by the A18 (3143/7659) and the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 (2663/8959). Even so the Dimensity 9400 has the highest score for the multi-core test compared to the A18 Pro and A18 chips.
Once again the Apple A18 Pro topped the Geekbench AI benchmark test with a cumulative score of 4516/7744/6204 while the Apple A18 scored 3975/32159/5507. Actually there are constraints from the aspect of testing on Mediatek devices which also stems from the inability to download specific applications.
However, on the AnTuTu 3D and 3DMark Wildlife Extreme tests, Mediatek is seen to be ahead of both Apple's new chips with some significant scores. It can be concluded that the Mediatek Dimensity 9400 chip, Apple A18 Pro and Apple A18 have their respective strengths and weaknesses. In addition, both are able to cater to different market segments to meet the demands of modern consumers.
The focus will now be on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 which will be launched soon. It will later be marketed as a flagship class chip which will of course be given an interesting upgrade and be able to be the best among the best.
