X or formerly known as Twitter, is now seen to have updated its service usage policy, adding changes to allow third parties to use your shared content – including for the purpose of training artificial intelligence models.
X has started notifying users by showing pop-ups, which users have to accept before continuing to use the service.
With this move, X may choose to sell data to third parties in training their respective artificial intelligence models, thereby increasing X's own income.
In addition, X also stated that a user's sharing may still be accessible on other services, even if it has been deleted on X. This may include display in search engines, through data sharing to train AI, and some other usage methods.
