Like mushrooms growing after the rain, the last quarter of 2024 will see a variety of electric cars being offered to consumers. If the Volvo EX30 was launched last week, and the Leapmotor C10 will be launched in the middle of this month, today Zeekr Malaysia has opened reservations for their two electric car models, the Zeekr X and Zeekr 009.
Zeekr X is an SUV that is offered in two versions, namely Premium and Flagship AWD. The Premium version has an electric motor in the rear that has a horsepower of 268 hp, allowing acceleration from 0-100km/h in 5.6 seconds. The Flagship AWD version has two electric motors that drive all the wheels, producing 422 hp to allow acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Both versions have a 66 kWh battery equipped with a 150kW DC fast charger that allows charging from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.
Zeekr 009 is an MPV that can accommodate up to 7 passengers, and is offered in two versions, namely Luxury 7 Passengers and Ultra Luxury 6 Passengers. Both versions use two electric motors that drive all the wheels, producing a horsepower of 603 hp and 693 torque that allows acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. This MPV has a battery of 116 kWh that provides a travel distance of 582 KM WLTP and is equipped with DC 150KW fast charging shortening the charging time from 10%-80% as fast as 30 minutes.
Both models are also offered with a variety of smart features for driving, premium comfort features that are obvious for the Zeekr 009 such as the presence of 30 Yamaha speakers, Nappa leather cushions, individual seats with tables and a loaded 17-inch OLED display under the roof for rear row passenger viewing.
At the moment the prices for these two models and their variations have not yet been announced, but Zeekr estimates that the Zeekr X model will be sold around RM 180,000 or less with a reservation price of RM 2,000.
