Amazon is currently in talks to invest in OpenAI's closest competitor, Anthropic. For information, previously Amazon was willing to invest $4 billion in Anthropic, and now with the explosion of the artificial intelligence arena, Amazon is seen to want to continue to increase its investment in the artificial intelligence firm.
Anthropic today is best known for offering the Claude model, which can perform multiple tasks, including summarizing documents, etc.
The total value that Amazon wants to invest is still unknown, but it is expected to be multi-billion ringgit. At the same time, it was reported that Amazon stipulated that Anthropic use server numbers that use Amazon chips - as opposed to using servers with NVIDIA chips. This move may also want to show the capabilities of chips developed by Amazon to the public, while opening up new business opportunities for the company.
For now, both Amazon and Anthropic have not released any comments related to this matter.
