AMD has launched their latest AMD Ryzen AI 300 series of processing chips in the middle of this year which features more efficient computer processing performance and power consumption for laptops than ever before, and now, says that the most powerful chip in the series
Recently, AMD has released a statement saying that their most powerful Ryzen AI 300 processing chip, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 has been compared to the latest Intel Core Ultra 200V offering, the Intel Core Ultra 7 285V.
When compared, this Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 chip, which uses the built-in AMD Radeon 890M graphics chip, shows an increase in gaming performance of up to 75 percent more than the Intel Arc Graphics 140V used in the Lunar Lake processing chip.
Computer games shown include Assassin's Creed Mirage, Baldur's Gate 3, Borderlands 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Cyberpunk 2077, Doom Eternal, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, F1 24, Far Cry 6, Forza Horizon 5, Ghost of Tsushima, Hitman 3, Hogwarts Legacy, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Spider-Man Remastered and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.
The Intel Core Ultra 7 285V processing chip typically shows 45-60FPS performance in these games at Full HD resolution and medium settings. In the same tests and settings, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 showed significantly better performance with frame rates exceeding 90 and 100FPS in many computer games tested.
For this, AMD takes advantage of their latest graphics profile function, AMD HYPR-RX which combines their graphics technologies such as AMD Radeon Anti-Lag, AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2, AMD Radeon Super Resolution, AMD Radeon Boost and AMD Fidelity FX Super Resolution to giving a performance increase as high as 2.3 times.
All this is done automatically through the AMD Software: Adrenaline software automatically, without the user having to change any settings in the game or in the Adrenaline software.
Although the gaming performance on AMD processing chips is seen to be much better compared to Intel's offering, the comparison between AMD Ryzen AI 9 processing chips and Intel Core Ultra may be seen as unfair. This is because firstly, the Ryzen AI 9 chip model used has a higher number of cores (12 physical cores and 24 power threads) compared to the Intel Core Ultra 7 chip (8 physical cores and 8 power threads).
In the meantime, the AMD Radeon 890M processing chip is also seen to be present with 16 Compute Units which are seen to be more optimized for gaming purposes, compared to the Intel Arc 140V graphics chip which only has eight Xe 2 cores with a lower core speed.
