AMD Is Expected To Introduce 3D V-Cache Memory For Other CPU And APU Offerings

AMD has recently launched their AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processing chip which comes with the addition of 3D V-Cache memory which is seen to help especially in enabling gamers to get higher FPS values and directly promises a better gaming experience.

Recently, it has been reported that AMD seems interested in adding this 3D V-Cache memory to more products, specifically AMD Ryzen Threadripper workstation-class CPUs and also their APU processing chips that are typically featured in low-power computer builds.

This is shown through an update to the ASUS TRX motherboard BIOS that shows support for 3D V-Cache, which means that there are AMD Ryzen Threadripper models powered by Zen 5 chips that will come with this 3D V-Cache memory addition.

In the meantime, it is highly likely that AMD APUs in the "Halo" series (such as Strix Halo) in the future will also be present using this 3D V-Cache memory. AMD seems to be aware of the advantages of adding these memory chips to their CPUs, but since this technology is quite complicated, and to guarantee the stability of their CPUs, it has only been included in a small number of AMD Ryzen CPUs so far.
