AMD has just launched its most powerful gaming CPU model to date, the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which is seen to help increase frame rates in computer games, especially at high resolutions and settings.
Recently, it has been reported that the company is expected to introduce two more all-new, more powerful Ryzen X3D CPU models, namely the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D. At the moment, there are only a few specific details known about these processing chips.
First, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D will come with 16 physical cores, while the Ryzen 9 9900X3D will come with 12 physical cores. Both processors will still use the second-generation 3D V-cache memory, but unlike the AMD Ryzen 9 9800X3D which has the memory divided between both CPU cores, this time it will only be loaded on one core.
More details on this may be explained later, and so far it is not known how this decision will affect the performance of the processor.
In the meantime, it is also expected that AMD will launch both AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D processor chip models at the end of January 2025. AMD is expected to introduce these CPU models, possibly at the CES 2025 event as well.
