Through a Bloomberg partnership, it is now reported that the Apple team is considering the idea of coming with a full television set – in line with Apple's aim to hold the device market in the living room. For the year 2025 itself, Apple is expected to introduce a special device that comes with a small screen, and can interact with users through the integration of Apple Intelligence, in addition to supporting FaceTime and Siri.
However, if the product does not succeed and gain a high market share, Apple may need to re-evaluate their idea for the living room market.
Today, Apple offers a special set-top box that can be connected to an existing television screen, and allows users to enjoy a number of content, including from Apple TV+. Offering a full set of televisions may only target a small number of consumers – thus possibly keeping Apple from pursuing the idea.
If seen as a comparison, Samsung and Xiaomi today are ready to offer television screens for their users under their respective brands, which also offer a number of content and software integration.
