Indonesia is ready to ban the sale of iPhones, due to Apple not meeting their investment requirements. Now, after a few weeks, there is a new report saying that Apple wants to increase its investment in Indonesia from around $10 million, to $100 million.
Apple is expected to invest around $100 million in Indonesia in the next two years. The Indonesian government itself is said to have asked Apple to focus more investment on research and development in the country.
For now, it is said that Apple is awaiting confirmation from the Indonesian side regarding this investment proposal. Indonesia is ready to set conditions for international companies to make a number of investments in the country before being able to sell their respective devices in the country. With a large population in Southeast Asia, it seems that Indonesia's move is paying off when various companies start investing in the country.
