OpenAI is now introducing a small update to the web version of ChatGPT, where it now shows search suggestions to users, when you are typing in the ChatGPT search box. However, for now, it is limited to displaying suggestions for some keywords only, and not for all keywords.
This feature is only active for users who are logged in to ChatGPT, and is not displayed if you are not logged in. The suggestions displayed are also quite random, rather than based on previous searches.
For now, it is not known when the same feature will be extended to mobile device users. Perhaps the development of this feature is parallel to the upcoming SearchGPT search engine by OpenAI.
