Cheaper Apple Vision Now Expected to Arrive After 2027

Apple's Vision Pro sales heat is only temporary with Apple reportedly stopping production of the augmented reality (XR) headset this month as stocks run out. Since its launch, there have been rumors of a more affordable Apple Vision handset set to be launched in the near future. But according to leading analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the more affordable Apple Vision will happen after 2027.

According to him, next year the updated Vision Pro with the Apple M5 chip will be launched first. Offering cheaper headsets with reduced features may not be a strategy that will work. As we have previously reported, the cheaper Apple Vision headset will not be equipped with an OLED screen on the outside.

Kuo added that the strategy of offering a cheaper model is not necessarily successful as can be seen with the HomePod with the HomePod Mini still lacking public response despite being sold at a more affordable price.
