Facebook Messenger is becoming more and more a complete messaging application. Messenger now supports end-to-end encryption for every message, has received Meta AI chatbot integration, and has recently received an increase in the number of users. Recently, Messenger has been updated with some interesting new features.
First is the AI-generated background video, where users can generate their own video with a text prompt or select an existing video. Then for video calls there is a HD resolution streaming feature and the audio quality is improved with a noise reduction feature. Like WhatsApp, Messenger also received the feature of sending video messages.
Meta also integrates Siri support to use Messenger, where users can now invoke Siri to send a message or start an audio/video call. This update seems to be distributed in stages because in my tests on Android and iOS devices recently the new features are still not visible.
