Fujifilm X-M5 Camera, FUJINON XF 500mm and XF 16-55MM Lens Now Officially In Malaysia



Fujifilm has recently caught the attention of the public for offering a vintage camera-like photographic experience through their film simulation technology. Last month, Fujifilm Malaysia opened pre-orders for the X-M5 camera and today it was officially launched.



The Fujifilm X-M5 is the lightest mirrorless digital camera in the history of their X series. It weighs 355g, supports an autofocus feature that can detect animals and moving vehicles using AI. Recording support is up to 6.2K/30P, meaning this camera is also suitable for video recording.



The X-M5 uses a 26.1 Megapixel X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor, powered by the X-Processor 5 processing chip, there are 20 film simulation modes that can be controlled with a physical rotary knob and also follows Sony's camera strategy by including a 9:16 vertical video recording mode. Video can also be saved in 10-bit color format and audio is recorded with 3 built-in microphones with multi-directional recording mode.



This camera also comes with a selection of accessories such as the FAN-001 which is a cooling fan for longer recording sessions and also the portable TG-BT1 tripod for more flexible recording work. At today's launch event, Fujifilm Malaysia also brought in two new lenses that can be used with the X-M5, namely the FUJINON XF 500mm F5.6 R LM OIS WR and the FUJINON XF 16-55 mm R LM WR II.



FUJINON XF 500mm

This lens is a super-telephoto prime lens with a focal length of 500mm with an aperture of f/5.6. It uses the APS-C format with a 1.5x crop effect, offers deeper focus control, gives users more flexibility, the ability to focus as fast as 0.33 seconds and also supports the FUJINON XF 1.4X TC WR and XF 2,0X TC WR attachments. . This lens is also designed specifically for zooming and taking photos of fast moving subjects.



FUJINON XF 16-55 mm

This lens is a standard zoom lens type. This time the lens is designed to be 37% lighter than the previous generation. This lens also comes with a large lens opening, in addition to also supporting the Aperture Click Switch for the first time under the XF series to change the amount of incoming light more smoothly. This lens has an f/2.8 aperture with 16mm wide-angle recording support or 55mm zoom.
