The open source graphics software GIMP 3.0 Release Candidate 1 is now available for public download. This alternative application to Photoshop can be downloaded for testing to gather feedback and find any bugs before the final version is offered to the public.
GIMP 3.0 RC 1 brings some changes such as tool icons on the interface that now use the SVG format. Through SVF, icons will be displayed more clearly and sharply regardless of the GIMP screen resolution used. The application also supports higher resolutions than previous versions.
Color management has also been improved to ensure that the colors in the application are accurate to the actual colors. Another new feature is support for non-destructive editing (Non-Destructive Editing) of original images introduced for the first time. Also improved is better support for TIFF and BMP plugins.
