Huawei has launched the FreeBuds Pro 4 as the first earphones with HarmonyOS NEXT. It also features an attractive style with features that are not too prominent but with an elegant and premium touch. This can be seen especially in the charging pod part which is equipped with a ceramic plate on the back.
Touching the specifications, the FreeBuds Pro 4 uses 11mm audio drivers with a touch pad on the side. For example to play songs, pause songs, change songs, summon voice assistants and answer calls. Each audio bud also supports the brand new Huawei Sound technology instead of Devialet. In addition, high-resolution audio support can be done through the SBC, AAC, L2HC 4.0 and LDAC codecs.
The main attraction of the Freebuds 4 Pro must be the support of the Kirin A2 chip, and spatial audio through HarmonyOS NEXT which can reduce latency by 50% and improve sound by 85%. The Freebuds 4 Pro also supports the Huawei Music application based on the HarmonyOS NEXT system with several smart features. These include two-way silent calling, face-to-face translation with 21 language options, AI audio volume reminders, and smart tracking for answering and ending calls.
Each audio bud can also operate for up to 6.5 hours without ANC and 4.5 hours with ANC. With the help of the charging pod, users can enjoy up to 33 hours of audio on a single charge. It can also be fully charged in just one hour via wired fast charging, and takes about 150 minutes for wireless charging.
The official retail price is RMB1499 (~RM918) with color options such as black, white, and green.
