Huawei launched the new generation of Watch D2 smart watch in Malaysia. To give something different, Huawei highlighted the ability to take blood pressure through a wristwatch. Huawei completes the watch with a body that weighs 40 grams and is 12% thinner than the Watch D announced in 2022.
This is paired with a 1.82-inch AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of up to 1500nits. This makes the screen usable in a variety of lighting conditions, both indoors and outdoors. This is paired with an optical sensor that uses a micro pump built into the strap that resembles a traditional blood pressure machine. In addition, it offers an Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) function that can also be used automatically during sleep.
The sensor can also be used to monitor other health such as ECG, SpO2, heart rate and pressure levels. The battery can reach 6 days with normal use and can be recharged via the USB-C port. The official selling price is RM1,999 with two variations, namely Black and Gold. Any pre-order is also given an exclusive gift worth RM1,276 which includes Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2, Huawei Scale 3, Huawei Watch D2 Straps and a one-year screen protection guarantee.
