The Hyundai Ioniq 9 was officially announced late last night as a three-row EV SUV that can carry up to seven passengers. The Ioniq 9 will be offered in 3 model options, each offering a range of up to 482 km and a motor power of up to 420 PS.
In the cockpit, a 12″ screen is placed that displays driving information and an in-vehicle entertainment system. A virtual HUD system that is projected on the screen is also included to improve safety while driving. The rearview mirror is also a 7″ screen that can show a wider visual when the vehicle is moving backwards.
As a luxury SUV, the seating configuration is 2+2+3 arranged in three rows. The seats in the second row can be rotated to face the rear so that passengers can talk face to face.
There is a noise cancellation system (ANC) in the cabin to reduce outside noise and the use of tires that reduce vibration. The audio system is a Bose product that comes with 14 speakers and 5.1 channel support.
The ADAS system is still at Level 2, with braking, lane departure warning and vehicle-in-front notification. The cabin also offers several USB-C charging ports with 100W power as well as regular power plugs. When in camping mode, all energy needs will be drawn from the Ioniq 9’s main battery and not from the 12V battery.
Finally, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 24 minutes using 350 kW charging. There is still no information on pricing at this point, as it will only be announced after it goes on sale in 2025.
